Building the Framework for Africa's Financial Future

PAFMA's initiatives are strategic, action-oriented programs designed to address the most critical structural barriers to domestic capital mobilization. Through focused collaboration, we develop solutions, shape policy, and build the market infrastructure necessary for African savings to fuel African growth.

Africa has significant domestic capital locked in pensions, insurance assets, and institutional savings, yet much of it remains under-deployed locally.

PAFMA works to shift this imbalance by supporting policies, market structures, and investment vehicles that enable African savings to fund African infrastructure, businesses, and long-term development.

PAFMA is led by a Governing Council elected from amongst current members.

The current Governing Council consists of the following individuals.

PAFMA works with regional and global partners committed to strengthening Africa’s capital markets and investment ecosystem.
